The Lancer Tactical Gen 3 is the latest innovation from the company, featuring a number of enhancements to its predecessor, the Gen 2. While the majority of the internal components are similar to Lancer Tactical's Proline series AEGs, the Gen 3 boasts several new features and upgraded parts.

One of the key upgrades is the inclusion of a Dean's connector, which allows for more space to accommodate higher capacity batteries. This improvement addresses a common issue with the previous generation. Additionally, the Gen 3 comes equipped with a built-in Zion Arms fully programmable electronic trigger unit, enabling users to configure various burst modes. Paired with Lancer's fast trigger, the Gen 3 is capable of delivering a rapid barrage of BBs downrange.

Another notable feature is the quick-change spring system, accessed through the buffer tube. The Gen 3 comes out of the box shooting at around 380-400 FPS with 0.20g BBs, but Lancer Tactical has included a low FPS spring in the box, allowing users to easily switch between different power outputs to suit their needs.

Under the hood, the Gen 3 boasts a reinforced metal Gen-2 gearbox with ultra-smooth 8mm ball bearings, an 18:1 steel gear set, a steel-toothed polycarbonate piston, a bearing spring guide, a rotary hop-up, and a high-torque 19,000 RPM motor. This combination of components ensures consistent performance and reliability.

The Lancer Tactical Gen 3 is equipped with a high-speed 130-round mid-capacity magazine that helps prevent jams and ensures proper feeding. The newly designed pistol grip features textured side panels and front and back strap serrations, providing users with enhanced grip and control.

In terms of customization, the Gen 3 offers a full-length 20mm top Picatinny rail, allowing users to mount a variety of accessories, such as optics, lights, lasers, and PEQ boxes. Additionally, the traditional M4 carrying handle is removable, revealing a top 20mm Picatinny rail for further mounting options.

The Gen 3 is constructed using a high-strength, full-polymer frame, making it lightweight yet extremely durable. This design ensures a comfortable and ergonomic user experience.
